Revelation 21:11 says...they (the believers) overcame the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. When we speak out our testimonies, that which God has done in our lives, we strengthen and encourage ourselves and others because we once again focus on the goodness and love of our God!

Mary (Name changed)

Mary (a single mom of 3!) had been struggling financially and God had proven faithful on a number of occasions. Last month Mary decided in her heart to start Tithing, to give a tenth of her income "back" to God because she believed she was already rich in Christ thanks to the finished work of the cross! As she was battling to pay school fees, she decided to go see the principle about a concession of some sorts. After a short meeting the school decided to reduce the fees by some 80%!! In the same week an anonymous giver gave her a R1000.00 and someone else gave her literally a "truckload" of food! Mary said that she doesn't believe God blessed her because she tithed, but because she is the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and is blessed already, her tithing was just an acknowledgement of that fact ...oh...and BTW, what she got back was WAY more than what she tithed!

Russel

Dawn

Dawn was in her lounge speaking to a friend of hers on the phone, when she looked down and saw something "glistening" on the carpet. After picking it up she realised it was a "gem" of some kind (it looks like a small diamond, about 4mm across). Her first thought was that it was a gem from God, but as she thought more and more (some call this unbelief :-)) she figured maybe it was a piece of jewelry that had "come off" a bracelet, a ring or something else. She then went to her cupboard where she keeps those things and searched and could not find anything...on top of that, she said that basically twice a week that carpet is vacuumed! After looking around some more she thought, wow, this MUST be from God...That evening she showed it to her husband, Craig and when he held it he started getting what looked like gold dust on his fingers! They took it to a local Jeweler who confirmed that it was not a diamond but it could be a gem, but they would need to go to a gemologist to find out...They are now convinced that it is was a gift from God and Dawn carries it around in her bag as a testimony to the goodness of the Lord...

Roy

Roy was working on site with Gerome one afternoon. Gerome was digging and the spade hit a high voltage electrical line that was buried in the ground. Electricity flowed up into the spade and severely burnt his left hand. Roy was on the other side of the grounds and was called to come and give assistance. Roy grabbed the first aid kit and felt God say he was going to be used in this situation. When he saw Gerome's hand he thought to himself  "this is bad, but God can heal him"...Roy said Gerome's hand was badly burnt, with this painful looking "callous like" welt that covered his palm. Roy grabbed him by the elbow, looked him in the eyes and said "Gerome you are healed!"...seconds later Gerome shouted something in Zulu, which translated meant " I can feel air coming out of my hand!"...within 10 minutes all pain was gone and Gerome was back digging, the welt had also almost completely disappeared...by the end of the day his hand had been healed of the burn marks and pain. Gerome, a believer, could not stop showing people and praising God!

Gracelife Community

Wow what a week of provision for the community of Gracelife Church. Last Sunday 11 October,  I (Dawn) had forgotten to get biscuits, so when one of the ladies, Irene took out the biscuit tray, with a bit of disappointment, I said that she could put it away because there were none. With determination and gusto Irene put it on the table and said, “please provide Lord!" The next person to arrive came to us carrying a packet- load of doughnuts and variants thereof! Wow! We were celebrating! 20 minutes later another lady arrived with home backed muffins, that she had baked for us all that very morning! There must have been at least 40! Incredible! What a treat for the grace-for-lifers on Sunday!

The next day we got a call from Sharon to tell us that there had been a flood at a Durban bookstore and her husband had been asked to go and investigate an insurance claim and to clear all the water damaged stock. Little did we realize the blessing that we were in for…. The family arrived on Wednesday night bearing two enormous boxes filled with various Christian books, novels, bibles, mugs, Bible-themed children's books and puzzles. Some were still in their packaging and looked perfect and the items that were water damaged were hardly damaged at all! We were ecstatic, considering that if we added the total amount of item value together there would have been at least R2000 worth of goods…Thank you Dad, you spoil us so much!!! Another blessing is the fact that at least sixty of Sharon's husbands workers were able to get bibles!

Irene

Irene was at a Kobus van Rensberg conference last week. At interval she went to the resources corner to look around. In faith she laid her hands on a "Radix" decoder (its the decoder needed to get free-to-air Christian channels) and said "I claim this in Jesus' name"...10 minutes later, without knowing that Irene had prayed that prayer, one of the guys she came with, came up to her with a paid-for decoder and told her he felt he needed to bless her with one and promptly gave it to her!

Sharon

Sharon was making toast at home. The toast had jammed in the toaster and she tried to use two fingers to pull the toast free. Unfortunately, one of her fingers touched a red hot element causing a small burn mark just above the nail, which she said was extremely painful. Her husband, Roy, and her often chat about healing and the power of God. So she said she looked at her burning finger and thought let me try! She held the end of her finger and said "I command healing in this finger right now, in Jesus' name"...and instantly the pain left her finger!! She said she was very surprised and thought gee, God used me to heal me!! The mark was still there but the pain had gone...

Sally

Craig felt particularly to anoint people with oil and pray for healing on Sunday morning and asked who was keen to come up. About ten people responded, including Sally. Sally has (had) Cervical Spondylosis effecting her neck area. She had been battling with ongoing pain, taking pain medication and having sleepless nights due to pain and discomfort. Craig anointed her forehead with oil and laid his hands on her neck (it must be noted that all the people that came up for prayer also laid hands on her!). Prayers of faith were prayed and it did not seem like anything major had happened immediately. On Tuesday morning sally phoned and told Craig that by Sunday night all pain was gone and that since then she did not have to take any pain medication and had slept like a baby both nights. She also said she would not be needing to go to the Chiropractor. Praise God!

Madelaine and Candice

On Sunday morning we called people up for prayer and this being particularly for feelings of depression and gloom to go! Now we know that a transformed mind is THE key to seeing the blue skies back, but we also know that the "prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective"...While we were praying , two of the ladies that had come up, found what looked like gold sparkles or dust all over their hands...no one else only these two...Isn't God good, just showing these two daughters of His how much He loves them, and the rest of us? Maybe next time!.....Yeehaa for the Glory...
